Anime Review:Prison School (NSFW)

prison school

Rating: 8.5

Prison School features life of five boys who took admission in a former all Girls High School. Due to their recent actions, they were sentenced one month in school prison under the supervision of the Underground Student Council.

Prison School is funny, it is stupid and yet at the same time it is clever. Prison School is a unique anime with a continous and strong story line which feels fresh and new. Unlike other animes of the same genre which only focus on flashing b**bs and fail to deliver a good plot, Prison School not only has a solid story line, but it also doubles the fun with awesome music and dazzeling characters.

Prison School has some really suspenseful and serious moments, moments that will make you anxious to the point that you might pause the anime to take a breath. Still, it retreats back to its lighter theme beautifully.

One thing many people were afraid of was the censorship. Censorship can destroy any good anime. But in case of Prison School, it is so cleverly done that it has negligible effect on the overall quality of this anime.

Another plus point about Prison School is its art. Prison School gets a perfect 10 when it comes to the art and quality of animation. Although it might feel a little dark due to the details, still it has well done characters and environment.

Prison School is like one of those animes you don't feel like watching at the first look, I know it because I thought the same. Call it a coincidence or not but I had a weird dream related to Prison School that persuaded me to watch the first episode. I did not have any idea that Prison School will turn out so unique and interesting.

Coming on to the characters, I found it hard to hate or love any particular character as everyone is amazing in this anime. Both girls and boys have their own struggles and the fight between them makes this anime even more hilarious. Personally, I think the boys win this time because they represent mainstream teenagers and think and act in the same way.

Prison School begins with a blast, keeps its pace and ends nicely. There was not even a single boring episode, instead each episode left a teasing suspense for the next one. For me, Prison School was the best anime I picked for Summer 2015.

Prison School teaches that all boys are pervert and this is what unites them.

Who would watch?

I must change the title to who would not watch to keep the list short. If you DON'T like adult jokes, fanservice and dominating side characters, then this anime is not for you. Other than that, I think this anime will easily appeal to majority of anime viewers.
